Services We offer

 At Attuned OT, we provide neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapy services tailored to the unique needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Our approach is centred on supporting individuals in developing a positive neurodivergent identity, building self-advocacy skills, and recognising their support needs to advocate for appropriate accommodations. 

 A neurodiversity-affirming therapy approach is a therapeutic framework that recognises and respects neurodivergent individuals’ unique ways of thinking, learning, communicating, and experiencing the world. Instead of aiming to "fix" or "normalise" neurodivergent traits, this approach supports individuals in building on their strengths, reducing barriers, and developing strategies that align with their needs, autonomy, and self-identity. 

We are passionate about a capacity building approach whereby there is a mixture of direct therapy with client, and regular contact and communication with their informal and formal support networks to facilitate embedding of strategies and approaches in daily. Working collaboratively with the client's wider care team is considered crucial from our perspective. 

We offer support for:

• Supporting emotional and sensory regulation through a co-regulation, trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming lens
• Support to develop skills that support increased participation in daily activities and routines (i.e., dressing, toileting, feeding, domestic tasks and community access)
• Supporting meaningful social relationships and social communication (within the scope of an OT)
• Supporting mealtime and feeding differences and the impact this has for the client and family
• Children experiencing school can’t (refusal) and navigating the education system to support the child in being supported to engage often through a focus of exploring accommodations and adaptations within the environment
• Motor skills to support engagement in meaningful activities
• Parent and caregiver support, recognising that they are the primary support for the client, it is highly important to me that they feel supported, heard and validated Capacity building approaches with clients and their support networks aiming to share knowledge around neurodiversity, the strengths, challenges, related concepts (i.e., masking, burnout) and impacts, whilst incorporating the individuals own experiences
• Advocacy support to access reasonable and necessary supports for the client and their support system
• Supporting large life transitions (i.e., transition to primary/high school, out of school, employment)
• Extensive experience in completion of Functional Capacity Assessments when required

We are community based and travel to you.

We provide in-person support in Adelaide and telehealth services interstate, offering a flexible and individualised approach to therapy that meets each person where they are.

⚠️ Please note:

• We only provide services for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
• We do not provide support for housing and home modifications or mid to high-cost assistive technology, we can provide some recommendations where required.

Fees

• Our fees align with the NDIS price guide at $193.99 per hour, with a maximum of 30 minutes allocated for travel.

Clinical Supervision and Professional Development

 At Attuned OT, we offer 1:1 clinical supervision for occupational therapists seeking guidance in neurodiversity-affirming practice, complex case management, and professional growth. Our supervision provides a supportive space to reflect, develop clinical skills, and navigate the challenges of working in the disability and community sector. 

We also deliver professional development sessions for organisations, equipping teams with the knowledge and strategies to create inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming environments.
